John Hancock Life Insurance Company is a very large financial services organization with its US headquarters in Boston Massachusetts.  Manulife Financial one of Canada's largest Insurance Companies bought John Hancock and they kept the name because Hancock is so well branded here in the United States.

In our expert opinion here at the Lifeinsurance-pros is that John Hancock is one of the very best Life Insurance carriers anywhere in the world.  They have a great product line that includes, Term Life Insurance, Permanent Life Insurance including whole life and variable life as well as a great long term care product.

Their term life product portfolio is top notch they offer 10 year, 15 year, 20 year and 30 year level term products.  One drawback in our opinion is that their minimum face amount is $750,000 we believe that this is simply due to the fact they would prefer to write permanent products and stay in the high net worth realm of life insurance which they do an awesome job at by the way.  But even at a higher face amount of insurance their premiums and rates still can be considered cheap by some accounts depending on your age and health. 

All in all we highly recommend John Hancock Life Insurance to just about anyone who is looking for a highly rated stable and financially secure carrier.  We have also found that for older age underwriting they almost can not be beat, they have a very highly trained and skilled underwriting department with years of experience. John Hancock is also a great carrier when you need a Substandard Impaired Risk Life Insurance Policy underwriten or issued, more on that later.
