Life Insurance Broker!

How to find and pre qualify the best Life Insurance Broker so you can qualify and purchase the best term or whole life insurance policy to protect your family or business.  When researching to find the best broker or agent to help you with your life insurance needs there are a few things you can do to make sure you find the right match with your own personality.

What are your Life Insurance Brokerage options?

You have a couple of different options to choose from and it all depends on your situation and how much experience and expertise you need when you go to purchase a term policy.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What do I need the insurance for?
  • How much do Insurance do I need?
  • Do I want to work with someone local or through the internet/mail?
  • Do I need term life or permanent/whole life insurance?
  • Do you want to work with a captive agent or a broker that has a multiple carrier platform?

These are of course just guidelines but will help you in determining what type and kind of broker/agent you will want to work with.

What is a Life Insurance Broker or Agent?

A Broker or agent is simply a person or company that has the ability to work with multiple life insurance carriers.  Some brokers may be captive agents with a company like New York Life or Northwestern Mutual.  They may also work for a large property and casualty insurance brokerage or they may be like us (an online life insurance brokerage) who works with some of the top carriers in the nation.

It is very important to choose the right broker, some will fight to the end to find you the best low cost life insurance policy while others may not.  It depends sometimes on how large the case is and how much they get paid to work on your case, not much you can do to get around that so take it in stride and rely on yourself to push the process through underwriting.

Make sure and ask how many carriers they represent and can write business with, ask them what is the process if you get declined or rated by the insurance company.  Ask for references or testimonials from satisfied clients.

So whether you are looking for mortgage term life protection or if you are a business owner and need key man/person life or a buy sell life policy ask a lot of questions of your broker.  Also if you don’t like him/her go somewhere else, life is too short to work with unhappy miserable people.  I guarantee if you work with us here at the lifeinsurance-pros we will always treat you with respect and there are no Dumb questions.  Most brokers work off of a lead that they purchase from a company or from referrals. Ask them to provide you spreadsheet of quotes from at least the top ten to twenty life carriers with A+ ratings.  Then you can compare from other agents or online agencies that you can contact.
